Berkshire Technology: Student FAQs

How Do I Connect My . . . ?

Apple Laptops:

  • Connect to the wireless network named Students.
  • You will be prompted to log into the network.

  • Use your Berkshire School username and password.

  • You will next be asked to accept a certificate. Click continue.

  • Enter your computer’s username and password. Click update.

Windows 10:

  • Connect to the wireless network named Students.
  • You will be prompted to log into the network.
  • Use your Berkshire School username and password, Click OK.​
  • ​You will be asked, “Continue connecting?” Click Connect.

iPhones:

  • Connect to the wireless network named Students.
  • You will be prompted to log into the network.
  • Use your Berkshire School username and password. Click Join.
  • A certificate message will pop up.
  • Click on Trust

Android/Google phones:

  • Connect to the wireless network named Students.
  • You will be prompted to log into the network.
  • Fill in the following fields or settings:
    • EAP Method should be set to  “PEAP”
    • CA certificate should be set to “Do not validate”
    • Enter your Berkshire School username in the Identity entry box.
    • Enter your Berkshire School password in the password entry box.​
  • Click Connect

Connecting my gaming devices or streaming devices:

Step One:  
Connect your device to the wireless network named “BerkshireWireless”.

Step Two:  
Find the wireless/WiFi MAC address for your device. It will be a 12 digit series of numbers and letters. Similar to these 28-18-78-FD-E5-97 or 28:18:78:FD:E5:97. If unsure, Google or web search using the following “[your device type] find MAC address” for instructions specific to your device.

Step Three: 
Send an email to ithelpdesk@berkshireschool.org with a description of your request and the MAC address for the device. This will automatically open a Technology helpdesk ticket. Someone in the technology department will register your device and reply to your email when completed.
